Why I built it
My professional path started in software. I spent five years in consulting, building custom applications for clients and learning firsthand what makes software feel thoughtful, useful, and efficient.
At the same time, music kept calling me back. I moved into trumpet performance, studied at The University of Texas at Austin, and later worked professionally as a trumpet player while teaching and running a studio in North Texas.
That combination exposed a gap. The software available to private teachers and studio owners often felt clunky, dated, and overpriced. Important tasks took too many clicks. Design felt like an afterthought. Everyday operations like scheduling, invoicing, payments, and student management were spread across too many tools.
Cadence Calendar came from wanting a better standard: great user experience, intentional design, and a product that helps complete daily studio tasks with ease instead of adding friction to them.
